Tonight the Buffalo Bills will be back on the clock and it will be more than just twice. Via a trade with the Rams yesterday to move back to 16th, the Buffalo Bills were able to secure an additional 2nd round pick at the 46th spot. They did get a 3rd round from the Rams as well at the 78th, but they did send their 3rd round pick at 71st to the Rams via the trade.
The rest of the draft looks like this for the Bills: 41st pick, 46th pick, 78th pick, 105th pick, 143rd pick, 177th pick, and the 222nd pick via the Rams. The Bills went from 6 picks to 8 picks in the draft which in my mind is a good deal especially when they were able to get E.J. Manuel at the 16th to help secure the QB spot.
Who will the Buffalo Bills take with the 41st pick? I don’t think the Bills are going to be trading anymore. These picks are going to be depth picks and to help secure the holes that are wide open right now at WR, LB, and G. At 41 could Buffalo look to take Mant’i Teo with their first 2nd round pick and look to a WR 5 picks later. I think if Teo is still available at 41 then Buffalo should jump on him and grab a WR or G at the 46th pick, which ever is best available. This I think will set up the Bills for a good draft going into training camp and preseason.
The NFL Draft will resume tonight at 6:30 pm est and again will be covered on NFL Network. The @nd and #rd rounds will be on tonight.
