The Buffalo Bills are set to workout two more

With the Buffalo Bills working out Matt Barkley yesterday, Joe Buscaglia from WGR55o is reporting that the Bills are set to privately workout none other than Ryan Nassib.

This would make the 5th QB the Buffalo Bills are privately working out and there is still one more to come.  They will also be working out Tyler Bray out of Tennessee.  With these two QBs on the horizon, the Bills will have worked out a total of 6 QBs in the efforts to find the next leader of this team.

Is it surprising that Nassib is getting a workout? Yes and No.  The Bills have worked 4 other QBs before Nassib and even though Marrone and Hackett worked with Nassib in Syracuse is providing almost a second look to bring, who I think the logical choice is, into Buffalo. With Marrone and Hackett already knowing what Nassib can d, I didn’t think that they would be bringing him in for a private workout.

Nassib, as a 3 year starter, with Marrone and Hackett, was able to produce 9,100 yds, 70 Touchdowns, and 28 interceptions.

He is a viable candidate for the starting QB job in Buffalo and with the coaching connection already in place may be the best fit.

My best fit for Buffalo is Nassib, who would be your first choice?

I agree; Nassib is the guy they should want, assuming he’s there at #8. This workout is, I think, geared towards possibly exposing Ryan to some of the new wrinkles Marrone and Hackett have come up with on the offensive side of the ball, since coming on staff …. and seeing how he handles it. They already know what he’s done, and more about him as a person than anyone else they’ve looked at; this workout is likely more of a “here’s a little bit of what we’re gonna do, if we get you in here” type of thing. Smart move on the coaches’ part, if that’s the case.

If Nassib underthrows long to his Syr. WRs in a dome, why does everyone think he can cut through a 30 mph headwind in Buffalo.. There are 5 other test qbs who can…

Article forgot the most underrated qbi the draft, Matt Scott.. Throwing 4/5/12 for Buffalo….

  • vice of reason

Matt Scott is the best or second best QB in this class, way more upside than nassib or bray, and he’ll be there in the second, maybe even third round…
