As time ticks down free agency will open in 3 days and teams will begin adding to their rosters. The Bills I think will be active but nothing like last season when they signed Mario Williams and Mark Anderson. With the news of McKelvin signing and possibly playing corner next season this will eliminate one need this team needed going in.
The Bills I think are in need of positions on both sides of the ball and should look into that way and not turn to just one. They are in need of linebackers, wide receivers, a safety, quarterback and also maybe some offensive line help. Looking at what’s available there certainly not going to address everything now but there’s also the draft to consider. The question I have is do you want to obtain someone that has the experience in certain positions or draft? What I mean by this is do you want to draft someone like a Jarvis Jones or sign someone like a Dannell Ellerbe? Or do you draft someone like Cordarrelle Patterson or look at someone Mike Wallace? These are the things that will need to be evaluated by the Bills coaching staff in the next few days. I always would like to acquire the younger player to build but every team needs those veterans as well. In both cases above I think this team needs a vet to come in and linebacker and wider receiver. Playing linebacker they would come in playing with Sheppard and Bradham to show them the way. The wide receiver vet could help to take all the pressure and coverage off of Stevie and also help TJ Graham come into his own. Hopefully the Bills are able to get such players.
Looking at Tuesday I think the Bills will get a couple players but in no means will be anything top notch. Players I could see coming to Buffalo are: Dannell Ellerbe, Josh Cribbs, Shaun Phillips or Steve Breaston. We will soon see what the Bills have in mind. What would you like to see?
