The Erie County Legislature approved the new 10 year lease agreement with the Buffalo Bills last month.  To follow suit so has the Empire State Development Board.

The Board approved the renovations set to take place at The Ralph as well as take care of the extension of the current lease with the Bills.

Governor Cuomo is committed to keeping the Bills in Buffalo.  In a statement he stated…

“The State remains committed to keeping the Bills in Buffalo,” Governor Cuomo said. “The approvals by the Erie County Stadium Corporation and Empire State Development mark further progress in finalizing the agreement that we reached last year, so that this iconic team stays in the community – a victory for fans and the Western New York economy.”

The only other step that needs to take place is there needs to be a passage by the other 31 owners at the owners meeting that will take place on March 25th. President and CEO Russ Brandon states that this is just a formality.
