Draft or Free Agent: Part 1

It is known that the run defense was not the best part of the defense last year.  With talks of Te’o as an option, does Buffalo look to draft a LB or do they go shopping and add some depth to the crew to back up Sheppard, Barnett and Bradham.

Sheppard is a decent Middle LB but has some improving to do.  Bradham was a rookie last year and still has something to prove.  Barnett is solid and has shown that each game.  Do we draft another young guy or do we go proven with only a couple of years? Here are some of the names out their for LB that could make a difference in the run defense.

With less than 5 years in the league and proven ability at the LB spot, Philip Wheeler (Oak), Kaluka Maiava (Cle), Geno Hayes (Chi) could add immediate stability to the LB crew with little to lose.

The Bills have drafted a LB the past two years, so the need for another young LB I htink is lost at this point in the draft.  I would rather see the O-Line given depth with a young stud than another LB that will be behind Sheppard or Bradham.  I would look at a someone who has played and can play with only a couple of years that can give the Bills an immediate uplift and improve the defense overnight.
