Senior Bowl: Quarterbacks Don't Impress

I’m sorry if I’m starting your day with some bad news, but people were not impressed with the quarterback play at this year’s Senior Bowl.

This included NFL Network analyst Mike Mayock, who believed that all six quarterbacks under preformed this week in Mobile. No one has really stepped up to the plate and all the quarterbacks still have a lot of questions.

That being said, Mayock was very positive about Ryan Nassib, who he believes had a decent week. He threw 4 of 10 for only 44 yards and an interception and had a fumble that was recovered by his own team 10 yards behind the line of scrimmage.

“To me Ryan Nassib is a kid that will slowly begin to rise,” said Mayock. “He can make the throws, he’s as smart as can be.”

E.J. Manuel had a very good game, throwing for 76 yards and getting both a rushing and throwing touchdown. Despite this, Mayock says Manuel is still projected to be taken in the third or fourth round of the draft.

Zac Dysert led all quarterbacks in yards with 93, also collecting a touchdown to go along with that. Mike Glennon went 8 of 16 for 82 yards, Tyler Wilson threw 8 out of 11 for 40 yards, and Landry Jones had 16 yards on only three completed passes.
