Revis Island getting cold...

Coming from The Jets Press, there might be a possibility of a Darrelle Revis trade on the horizon.  What could this mean for the Bills in two aspects?  One does Buffalo look to help out the young secondary and trade for Revis? Two if Revis is dealt how will it affect Johnson and the WRs here in Buffalo. Revis and Cromartie are tying up close to 20 million in next years salary cap so a restructuring of his contract would be necessary.  This also gives the Jets good reason to look for possible suitors for Revis.

With the Defensive Jet connection already, I can see a possibility that the Bills will go after getting Revis.  He would be familiar with the schemes and coaching from his previous coaches and could be an easy fit here in Buffalo.  If they do, where would he be on the depth chart?  With Gilmore and Williams at 1 and 2 and McGee and Leodis McKelvin, would or could Revis be a #2 or #3 CB?  I really don’t think so but you never know.

If Revis is dealt to another team, especially outside of the East, depending on who they bring in, the CB squad for the Jets will not be the same.  Getting another strong # 2 WR for Buffalo will put the CBs having to worry about more than just Johnson with the deep ball.

We will keep following this story to see what develops and where it heads.
