Bills Defensive Coordinator Options

Two candidates have emerged as the front runners for the position of defensive coordinator on Doug Marrone’s staff. It seems to be down to Jets defensive coordinator Mike Pettine and Jaguars defensive coordinator Mel Tucker.

According to reports, Marrone interviewed Pettine yesterday. Pettine has served as the Jets coordinator since 2010. His defense is a 3-4 scheme, as opposed to the 4-3 that the Bills ran this season. He’s been in the NFL since 2002, serving in various positions.

Tucker has been the Jaguars defensive coordinator since 2009. His defenses have not been incredibly successful, and neither have the Jaguars as a team. He runs a 4-3 system.

Marrone said at his introductory press conference that he would like people on his staff to have NFL coaching experience. Both of these candidates do, but its not exactly associated with a lot of success. Do you think that either of these would be a good pick for Marrone? Make sure to cast your vote below!

Who do you think is a better option for defensive coordinator?
