Gailey Gone!

As it has come down the pipe and everyone in Buffalo and BIlls fans everywhere have been wondering and in a sense hoping…Gailey has been fired.  Gailey is no longer the coach for the Bills after a disappointing 6-10 season for a second straight year.  With a 16-32 overall record for the Bills there was major specualtion that a move would be made concerning the front office.

What is next for the Bills and their Coaches.  Looking at the few firings that have happened today in the coaching section, Andy Reid, Pat Shurmur and Lovie Smith out of Chicago, does Buffalo look to one of these guys that has been a coach and proven themselves at some point or do they look to bring in a college coach or a coordinator.  Personally, I would look at Lovie Smith or Andy Reid.  Smith took the bears to a 10-6 record this year and just barely missed the playoffs but only went 3-5 in his last 8 after a 7-1 start.  Reid has been proven having more than a decade stint in Philly.  Reid is looking at coaching in San Diego and has made that known.

I don’t think that a coordinator or college prospect is the way to go as we have been there done that before and it has not worked well.  We need an immediate impact and Reid or Smith is the way to go at this point.  The day is still early and there could be other prospects out there for the immediate impact.

What else is Buffalo going to do today?  Do we see Wannstedt or Nix gone as well?  I thikn Buffal makes another big move but it won’t be today.  Look for Nix to go with an up and coming Assistant GM sitting in the wings.

Lovie Smith will turn the Bills into a contender or at least a winning record. Go get him. Cold weather coach who is only 8 hours away. He has brought some pretty unspectacular teams with pretty horrible QBs to the playoffs, and a Super Bowl, so…he might be a good fit for the Bills team that desperately needs a franchise QB. They have the Wideouts and the backs, they have some defense to build off of, but they need Lovie Smith

    Lovie Smith come on down…

Rumor is, Gruden is looking to coach again, I would love to get him

And Polian is looking to get back into football, Polian as GM and Gruden, Smith, or Reid as coach would kick ass

    Hey guys!
Gurden or Smith are my top choices to come to Buffalo. Smith would be a perfect fit. Gruden has the mentality to turn the team around. Polian is probably not coming to Buffalo with Nix still here and Doug Whaley ready to take over mid season for Nix. Buffalo needs to move though with Reid gone and Kelly most likely going to Cleveland. Things need to start moving

Plus Smith already contacted the Bills day one and stated he was interested in the job.
