Turnovers Key to the Season

Throughout the season the BIlls have been plagued with turnovers.  And for another week there was a turnover in the 4th quarter with there being a possibility of a comeback win.  Ryan Fitzpatrick was the culprit again with a late quarter interception on the doorstep of what would have been a touchdown to bring them within a TDs length of tie the game.

Not only was there the interception late in the game but there were some other calls that were close and could have gone either way.  Stevie Johnson’s and Dickerson’s fumbles were close and went the way of the Fins.  The other play which could have turned the game around for the Bills was almost a picture perfect repeat of the 1999 playoff game against the Titans, where it was considered a legal backwards pass.  Yesterday the same play occurred, but again going against the Bills stating that it was a forward pass and ruled incomplete.

The defense was unable to stop the Dolphins early on and the Offense couldn’t hang on to the ball or even get any kind of momentum with the ball.  This with the turnovers and some questionable calls by the referees helped to bring the Bills another loss.

At this point, Fitzpatrick should not even start the last game as the BIlls need to find other viable options at this point.  Chan Gailey needs to make drastic changes if he has any hope of staying as the coach for next year.  Dave Wannstedt needs to be released as there was little improvement on the defensive front in any aspect through out the season.
