Red Zone Special

Watching the game this past Sunday showed that the Bills have a game plan that can work. Even though it was against Jacksonville the Bills took control and did what they wanted to do. My question to that is where has that been all year?

The one thing I really liked was that Scott Chandler was used in the red zone again. I believe he is the best option for this team when we get there. He is a big guy that has great awareness. His touchdown on Sunday came in the second quarter at 01:56 that put the Bills up 14-10. That td was his 6th of the year and already matched his career high in a season. I believe he will reach 8 TD’s by seasons end.

Looking at the way he plays I think he has characteristics similar to that of Rob Gronkowski of the New England Patriots. He has become a decent blocker when in protection mode but also can get down the field and make the big catch. Many people I talk to say he could possibly have the best hands on the team. In my eyes he has been progressing every year here with the Bills. Something I have thought about is what if he had a better quarterback that could get him the ball more? Everyone especially in Buffalo knows what kind of game plan we have and also knows Fitz doesn’t/can’t throw the ball all over the field. I think that will in the end hurt his production numbers. That being said hopefully when the Bills turn the ball over to a new quarterback Chandler will be seen as a top notch tight end around the league.

With only four games left I hope he can finish this season on a high note and have that lead him into the next. Whether you’re a Chandler fan or not what do you think about is progress as a Buffalo Bill? I for one hope he gets the credit he deserves.
