Looking Back: Bills/Dolphins

The Bills pulled out a win, but just barely and with some help from the Dolphins.  The Bills were not able to get a touchdown the entire game on offense.  Their only offensive points came from Ryan Lindell going 4/4.  The defense was able to secure the win after being solid in the first half, but slippoing in the second, with two late interceptions while the Dolphins were driving.  Concerns that I have from the game is that, Choice was unable to make any difference when he was in, and when he was in your in the red zone and its 3rd and 1.  Really Gailey, Spiller needs to be in at that point.  As he has done all season, he is a difference maker and without him the Bills offense becomes very one dimensional.  If Choice is going to play, the Bills might as well put in Dickerson at this point.  He is about as fast as Choice, but he can make a move if need be.  Don’t get me wrong, the Bills put themselves into a position that they can run with.  8 years ago in 2004, Buffalo was 3-6 coming off a loss against the Pats.  They went on to win the next 6 games and put themselves in a position to make the playoffs.  They needed a win against the Steelers and they would have been in at 10-6.  It has been done in the past and it can be done again.  I have said it before, and I’ll say it again, the Bills hold their future at this point.  Take control and run with it.
