With the Bills sitting at 3-5 tied with the Jets and 4th in the AFC East, the outlook for the Playoffs and the Bills seems to be little if not all out hopeless. It is little but mathematically they are still able to reach 9-7, 10-6, and if they win out 11-5. The playoffs at this point are still a possibility. At 9-7 there is little to no hope to get into a wildcard spot bt the more likely would be 10-6 for a wild card spot. I am not saying the Bills will get to 10-6 but saying that the wildcard spot is usually at a 10-6 record. The Bills have a tough road ahead of them are have not done well against the Pats in the last decade. Looking at the rest of the season, The Jags and Colts should be wins for the Bills. If the Bills can sweep the Dolphins, that would give the dolphins 6 losses on the season and give the Bills the head to head matchup. With a win against the Jets, that too gives the Jets 6 losses minimally and would provide a split in the head to head. This would put the Bills at a 3-3 record within the division, better than the past couple of years. This would give the Bills a minimal of 8 wins with a win against the Jags and Colts. They would need to pull two more wins off against the Rams, Seahawks or the Pats. More likely the Bills will make a 7-9 finish this season, beating the Jags and the Colts. They should split the Dolphins and beat the Rams. A win against the Pats this week will provide a little more breathing room for them and would be a nice break for the fans of Western New York.
