Buffalo This Weekend

The Buffalo Bills head into the bye week a game below .500 and a game back of the New England Patriots for first in the AFC East. However, all is not lost. Only 3 teams on their remaining schedule have a winning record in the Texans, Patriots and Seahawks. Match that with 4 home games in December and this team could go on a run at the end of the season. So with the bye week in hand players like G Kraig Urbik and LT Cordy Glenn need to get healthy for that to happen.

Player to watch out for: Mario Williams

Since training camp Williams has complained about a wrist injury. Nobody knows if the wrist has affected his play, but with only 3.5 sacks to his name this season, we can only speculate. This week Williams had surgery to relieve some of the discomfort and isn’t expected to miss any time. So he needs to use this week to get healthy and find a way to get more productive on the football field.

What needs to happen this week:

The Bills will be visiting the best team in the AFC in the Houston Texans next week and focus has to be shifted to correct a defense that has allowed 4 100+ yard rushers in 7 games; especially with the Bills going up against the RB with the 2nd most rushing yards this season in Arian Foster.

Also, the Bills will need to keep an eye on the game between the NY Jets and Miami Dolphins. A win by Miami could put the Jets too far behind in the division, while a win by Miami makes the race for a wildcard position all that more intense.
