Coming into the bye week, the Bills are a team that is doing some soul searching and trying to correct the issues, mainly defensive, that have plagued them in the first seven games of the season. Although there is good news to come out of this; The bills have two players tied for top 3 spots in the league in takeaways, both fumbles and interceptions, Scott and Byrd, Mario Williams is relieving his discomfort in his wrist and is expected to rejoin the team on Monday and should be good to go for the game next week against the Texans. Another good note to mention is that the Bills have one of the best records coming off of a bye in the league. They are tied for 5th with Chicago at 15-8 after a bye and last year they shut out the Redskins 23-0 and posted 10 sacks. Only five other teams are better than them after a bye; Dallas (16-8), Baltimore (11-5), Denver and Minnesota (17-6) and Philly (19-4). The Bills need to come into this week against the Texans and come out with a bang. At 3-4, the team is still in in the hunt and is listed as the 11th ranked team in the AFC, 2 behind the Jets at 9th with the same record. With the Pats at 4-3 and MIA at 3-3 the Bills are still in it to win it at this point, which is a change from the past with a 3-4 record. MIA and the Jets play this week, so a win by the Jets will bring the Dolphins to us in record and we will only be a game behind the Jets. The Pats are looking at STL. The Pats should win this game but this season stranger things have happened. With a Win we are two back from the Pats and only 1 back with a loss. Everything still is reachable.
