According to Jay Glazer of Fox Sports the Bills have signed an agreement with linebacker Shawne Merriman to return to the team today. Merriman was cut this preseason after two unproductive seasons with the Bills.

The report was later verified by the Bills, who also announced the releasing of offensive lineman David Snow and defensive tackle Jay Ross.

According to WGR, Merriman has been in Buffalo today participating in the defensive meetings. It is believed the Bills were looking for defensive depth with the recent injury to Mark Anderson.

Whether Merriman will be active this week is not yet known. Keep to Buffalowdown for all the latest as things develop.
