As we look ahead to Sunday’s Bills/Chiefs clash, here’s the latest injury reports:
Did not practice: RB Fred Jackson (leg), DT Marcell Dareus (personal reasons)
Very short injury list for the Bills this week. Jackson is out at least four weeks with that leg injury. Dareus is sadly coping with a family tragedy as his younger brother Simeon was killed earlier this week in a triple shooting in Alabama.
That’s an unthinkable situation, and I know my thoughts are with Marcell this week. Football seems irrelevant in comparison, but apparently Marcell would like to try to play Sunday.
“I spoke to Marcell and all of our condolences do go out to him and the family,” said head coach Chan Gailey. “He’s got a lot on his plate to say the least. I talked to him this morning. I think he’ll be back for Sunday’s game whether it’s tonight, tomorrow or the next day, but I think he’ll be here for this week. He wants to be back.”
Did not practice: NT Anthony Toribio (ankle), DL Allen Bailey (ankle), S Kendrick Lewis (shoulder), WR Devon Wylie (hamstring)
Limited practice: CB Jalil Brown (groin), CB Brandon Flowers (foot)
The Chiefs are pretty banged up right now, especially on defense. Lewis, Toribio, and Flowers are all starters, so it will be worth keeping an eye on their progress this week.
