Fans, the Bills season is almost upon us. Today is the second day of the Bills training camp in Rochester, and all has gone smoothly so far. The Bills are one of the lucky teams that doesn’t have to deal with any player holdouts, which means that the team can really get to work as a unit.
Many questions will be answered in the coming weeks through practices and preseason games, including who will be the team’s second wide receiver. Chan Gailey has announced that as of now that position belongs to Donald Jones. However, we all know that isn’t set in stone. The other receivers have a shot to make an impression in the coming weeks.
Stephon Gilmore will be focused on by many fans who want to see how the Bills first round pick looks. Where Gilmore fits in with the corner back group will also be answered before the season. Will McKelvin be higher up on the depth chart than Gilmore? Of course this probably won’t be answered until we get to games, as its hard to judge without pads.
Of course there isn’t much we can take away from the first few days of camp. The players aren’t hitting, there are no pads. Right now is just the time to get excited knowing the team is together and working to get ready for the season. There is an air to this season that is different, which you can tell from the fact that ESPN aired video of Mario Williams practicing. This season appears to be the most excited fans have been in a while, making training camp that much more thrilling
