Reported by Chris Brown of BuffaloBills.com, Defensive Lineman Lionel Dotson has had his contract terminate by the Bills today. Rookie spring tryout player DE Sean Ferguson has been signed to fill this roster spot. Dotson spent the majority of last season on the practice squad appearing in only five regular season games. I can only speculate, but I think the termination was due to a non- football injury which caused Dotson to miss Spring OTA’s.

Ferguson started 28 of 49 games during his tenure at Mississippi State. From BuffaloBillsDraft.com:
“DE Sean Ferguson-Mississippi State
Ferguson didn’t see the field a whole lot for Mississippi State over the past couple of years and was arrested for a possession charge back in 2010. This is one of the deepest sleepers in this mini-camp and we can honestly say we don’t know much about Ferguson.”

I honestly have to wonder what Buddy Nix was thinking with this signing. Seems his last two free agent signings (Ferguson and Young) have character concerns.

In other news TE Mike Caussin was placed on the PUP list. He can return to practice as soon as he can pass the team physical. Caussin is recovering from a torn ACL.

Not a shock…Dotson was a longshot at best anyway.
