Anyway, fast forward a few years, and Punk was poking another celebrity on Twitter. That would be Brown, the undoubtedly talented performer who torpedoed his career when he decided it would be a good idea to beat the hell out of his girlfriend – who was of course the even more famous Rhianna.
Even though the whole Rhianna-beating thing was a few years ago, Punk (correctly) decided to just remind the world of what a scumbag Brown is, tweeting:
I would like @chrisbrown fight somebody that can defend themselves. Me curb stomping that turd would be a #wrestlemania moment
Brown, stupidly, decided to strike back at Punk with a really clever “all wrestlers are on steroids” comment:
@CMPunk needs more followers. He’s such a leader! Not to mention the roids hes on has made it utterly impossible for him pleasure a women.
Now, if Brown had made that comment about 95% of the WWE roster, he’d have something. But he picked the one guy in Punk whose whole gimmick is that he really is “straight edge” – no drugs or alcohol period. (Plus Punk has dated an absurd number of the Divas himself, so apparently he’s doing okay in that department as well.)
Anyway, Punk skipped Twitter this time and just made a video in which he made it clear he’s 1) not on steroids, 2) not a woman-beater, and 3) ready to kick the shit out of Brown whenever Brown wants to step in the ring.
You go ahead and take that challenge, Chris.
