Bills cornerback Drayton Florence didn’t have his best year, but he’s ending the season is a very cool way. Florence will be watching Super Bowl XLVI with U.S. Troops stationed in Honduras as part of a goodwill tour of three military bases.
Florence talked about his plans in a recent interview with ESPN radio. The interview starts around the 10-minute mark.
The military has a special place in Florence’s heart, as he grew up in a military family.
“I’ll be doing a military tour where we’re traveling to three military bases to boost the morale of the troops a bit,” Florence told Ross Tucker. “It should be a great experience. I grew up in a military family so I made sure my Foundation gives back to the troops that sacrifice so much.”
While the Bills have struggled on the field in recent years, this collection of players is among the NFL’s classiest. Just a ton of good guys on the squad. Hopefully they’ll be rewarded with big success on the field soon.
