seemingly unavoidable injury bug. It’s pretty hard not to notice how for the last couple of years the Bills have had to drag themselves to the finish line of the often refrenced marathon that is the NFL season. Seventeen players on injured reserve and of that number eleven were starters.
That my friend (in my opinion) are impossible odds to ask any team to overcome I don’t care which ball club you try to name it’s just not happening! Unfortunately for the Bills this is the one aspect of football a team has very little to no control over. I’m sure not a Sunday has gone by when you didn’t hear some analyst say “injuries are part of the game”. A very sobering fact to the Bills fan base this past season highlighted by Pro Bowl NT Kyle Williams being lost for the year. Not to say the Bills would’ve been sack machines if Williams were there but I do believe their pass rush would’ve been much more formidable with him in the line up. So when it comes to the dreaded injury bug the Bills truly need to get their “Tebow” on.
What I believe to be the number two thing is building on the (already solid) defense something I’ve been complaining about as of late from a pass rush aspect. But the back four could use some adjusting as well, the depth in this teams secondary’s thinner than the motion picture (“Thinner”) by acclaimed director “Stephen King”. With players like Terrence Mcgee spending more time off the field (due to injuries) than on, and young Aaron Williams missing time this season from a very serious injury (which reflects the article’s photo as well as it’s title) this point’s pretty darn obvious one would have to say. So some quality depth in the teams last line of defense is a definite must a fact as undisputed as “Muhammad Ali” being the greatest!
