Yesterday, we brought you a Fred Jackson update: he’s almost healthy (yay!) and he wants a contract extension.
Jackson still has a year left on his contract that pays him just $1.83 million next season. That’s criminally low for a player of Jackson’s caliber.
However, Jackson is 30 years old and the Bills have had pretty bad luck with big contract extensions recently (see Fitzpatrick, Ryan). Plus there’s the whole “C.J. Spiller is really good” thing to consider.
So what do you think? Should the Bills lock up Jackson now? Or let him play out this season under his current deal?
