Another Bills victory means we need to award another game ball to Buffalo’s MVP of the game. Last week voters here at BLD selected QB Ryan Fitzpatrick for the honor, and he’ll be a candidate again this week.
The complete list of candidates:
QB Ryan Fitzpatrick (28 for 46 passing, 264 yards, 3 TD, 1 INT) - A very rough first half for Fitz was completely redeemed with a monster showing in the second half. Leading the Bills to touchdowns in all five second-half drives? Pretty spectacular.
RB Fred Jackson (15 carries, 117 yards, 2 TD; 2 receptions, 23 yards) - Jackson’s 43-yard TD brought the Bills back to life in the second half. He’s been fantastic in 2011 so far.
The Offensive Line – I’ll probably jinx it here, but the huge question mark this is the offensive line has been very solid. The Bills gave up zero sacks yesterday and routinely gave Fitz time to throw. LT Demetrius Bell deserves some praise for his efforts so far.
WR David Nelson (10 catches, 83 yards, 1 TD) – Nelson was a reliable target all day and also caught the game-winning touchdown.
LB Nick Barnett (14 tackles, 1 forced fumble, 1 tackle for loss) - On a pretty tough day for the defense, Barnett had a ton of tackles and forced the key fumble by Darren McFadden.
