Not that just one player ever deserves exclusive credit for a win, but after Bills wins this season we will ask the question to you: Who deserves that day’s game ball? Who was the team MVP?
There’s a lot of guys to choose from this week (yay!), as seemingly everyone played well in Buffalo’s 41-7 destruction of Kansas City.
Here’s the nominees:
QB Ryan Fitzpatrick (17 for 25 passing, 208 yards, 4 TD, 0 INT) - The first game of the Fitz era went pretty well, to say the least.
RB Fred Jackson (20 carries, 112 yards) - Earned every single one of his yards, making several defenders miss and running right through many tackles. Picked up a key first down right before halftime.
TE Scott Chandler (5 catches, 63 yards, 2 TD) – Does Buffalo finally have a legitimate tight end? He certainly looked the part today.
S Bryan Scott (9 tackles, 3 tackles for loss, 1 sack) - Scott was spectacular today, making some big-time plays and open-field tackles.
CB Drayton Florence (2 tackles, 2 passes defended, 1 INT) – Florence was a big part of the reason the Chiefs managed just 119 yards passing.
So who deserves the Week 1 Game Ball?
