(Ed. Note: This was meant to be posted yesterday. I apologize for the delay.)
Wide receiver Naaman Roosevelt – a fairly surprising cut from the 53-man roster this weekend – is back with the Bills. Buffalo added Roosevelt to the practice squad today, bringing the receiver back to his hometown team. To make room, the Bills released C Michael Switzer from the practice squad.
Roosevelt’s a local product and a great story, and I thought he looked great this preseason when he was healthy. Unfortunately, a late injury sidelined him for a few exhibition games and apparently killed his chances of making the team. I know wasn’t too thrilled when he was released (and judging by our poll results following final cuts, neither were many of you), so it’s good to see him back. He’ll probably get the call up to the 53-man roster should a receiver go down to injury.
