Marcell Dareus Injures Ankle, Spotted on Crutches After Practice

Rookie DL Marcell Dareus, one of the few bright spots of a tough preseason thus far, left practice today with an ankle injury. After practice, he was seen walking on crutches with the ankle heavily taped. Wednesday’s practice was closed to the media, so further details aren’t exactly forthcoming. However, WRGZ Sports reports that he was able to leave the field under his own power.

We can only hope that since Dareus was able to get off the field on his own that this isn’t anything more than a rolled ankle. He really doesn’t need to play the rest of the preseason – he’s ready for NFL action if he’s healthy.

As is typical in Buffalo, injuries are really piling up this preseason. Let’s just pray this is the end of it.
