Bills First Preseason Game

The Buffalo Bills first preseason game is in the books. I must say, I was extremely impressed with the Bills Defense. It might be safe to say that “Lights Out” Shawne Merriman is back. Merriman’s back-to-back sacks were awesome, plus the play of rookie Marcell Dareus, we could be looking at a top10 defense this year.

On the other side of the ball, Ryan Fitzpatrick looked good. Fitz was 7 out of 9 for 44 yards. WR Stevie Johnson was really good as the Bills No. 1 receiver. He won’t have a problem filling that roll. I was impressed with Brad Smith as well as the fourth string quarterback, Josh Nesbitt. I hope Chan Gailey can find room for this young man. The only downside is the Bills’ offensive line. In order for this team to succeed, the o-line has to play better or the Bills can use some money to sign a lineman who will play better. I don’t like calling people out, but this offensive line is pretty weak.

Overall this team showed promise and it’s going to be a fun year. Let’s go Bills!!!
