The Buffalo Bills had busy day today before their first preseason game tomorrow night. Wide Receiver Lee Evans was dealt to Baltimore for a fourth rounder. I know Evans was a fan favorite, but his production was way down last year. The blame should not be on Evans alone; you have to look at the quarterback and the offensive line. But, that’s the past and a new season is upon us. I wish Lee well.
The move frees up $9 million in cap space. There’s a plethora of scenarios we can think of. But the smartest move is to secure NT Kyle Williams, WR Stevie Johnson, QB Ryan Fitzpatrick and possibly to sign an offensive lineman. Hopefully, the Bills will surprise us like when signed T.O. two years ago.
