Fitzpatrick First Player to Arrive at One Bills Drive

Fitz is back and ready to go.

In what has to be viewed as a good sign for anyone hoping Ryan Fitzpatrick can be the franchise quarterback Buffalo desperately needs, Fitz was the very first player to arrive at One Bills Drive today when players were allowed back in at 10 a.m.

Fitz addressed the media this morning, and here’s a few highlights:

On his different  mindset headed into his first true season as a starter: ”I’m always excited going into a season, but it’s a whole different deal when you’re the guy. Being the starter, being the guy, I’m ready.” and “This is my show from the very beginning.”

On WR Marcus Easley: “The combination of his size and speed is a rarity.” Calls him a special talent.

On being ready for the season opener: “Not concerned at all, we’re going to be fine.”

So not much of substance, but it’s clear that Fitz is ready to go. Also apparently ready to go is backup quarterback Levi Brown, who actually interupted the mini-press conference to give Fitz a bit of grief, saying, ““Fitz, c’mon man! We’ve got meetings, geez, let’s go!”

Obviously Brown was joking, but I’m sure it’s what they were all feeling: it’s time to get going.

It really is your show Fitz. Let’s see what you’ve got.

Topics: Levi Brown, Ryan Fitzpatrick
