Danny Batten Training with Larry Fitzgerald?

A few days ago, Bills linebacker Danny Batten tweeted something pretty interesting:

Yup, he’s referring to THE Larry Fitzgerald, the outstanding Cardinals wide receiver. If Batten is doing anything resembling keeping up with a world-class athlete like Fitzgerald – who is known for his brutal offseason conditioning plan – I’d say Batten is doing pretty well for himself.

I like Batten a lot, and I felt he was extremely unfortunate last season. Obviously, anyone who goes down to a season-ending injury is unlucky, but considering how bad Buffalo’s linebackers were last  season, he almost certainly would have earned playing time in 2010. Now he’s forced into a situation where Buffalo has significantly upgraded its linebacker depth. I still think he could make an impact, and don’t be surprised if Batten finds himself on the field quite a bit in 2011.
