Edwards Claimed By Jax

Buffalo Bills

A day after being released by the Buffalo Bills, The Jacksonville Jaguars have claimed QB Trent Edwards off of waivers.

Edwards will have a good chance of seeing the field again this season as the Jaguars are in desperate need of a spark. Since his impression week one performance (3 TDs), Jaguars QB David Garrard has been anything but impressive averaging only 139 yrds with 1 TD and 5 INTs over the last two games.

Fantasy football owners of Maurice Jones Drew will be estatic with this singing. If Edwards does get the call, he will be sure to dump off many passes to MJD. Meanwhile, Mike Sims-Walker owners can be seen scurrying over their league in an attempt to dump last year’s prize WR to somebody who hasn’t heard the news of Edwards yet, haha.

On a side note, in just one week, Jaguars have added three QBs: Trent Edwards and Todd Bouman, and Keith Null to practice squad.

BuffaLowDown would like to wish Trent Edwards good luck with his new team!
