Even in a game in which the Buffalo Bills lost, it is important to look at players that stood out and hopefully can help the Bills towards a W as we head to week 2.
Here are the candidates:
Paul Posluszny: Before the too familiar scene of Posluszny being helped off the field by trainers, Poz recorded eight tackles and a sack, all in the first half. Posluszny looked to have injured his knee, but was scene jogging on the sidelines during the game, BuffaLowdown will keep you updated on his status.
Leodis McKelvin: McKelvin had one of the hardest assignments of the day in guarding Brandon Marshall. Marshall ended the day with 8 catches for 53 yards, and could have really killed the Bills with a TD catch that he dropped. That being said, McKelvin did a great job knocking a few balls down from the Dolphin’s WR, I even said out loud during the game, wow McKelvin is really stepping it up. Hopefully this is a sign of things to come from this young corner.
Roscoe Parrish: Parrish wasn’t used as much as I hoped for, but it’s hard to ignore the player who scored the only touchdown for the Bills. On a questionable call on 4th and 11 with the Bills down by ten, Parrish used his speed to get behind the Dolphin’s defense, and scored a 31-yard touchdown, but only ended the day with 2 catches for 35 yards. Parrish also added 30 more yards on Punt Returns.
