The Bills’ 53 man roster is still a work in progress as the Bills have made a couple of changes to their roster. The Bills have signed TE David Martin and claimed G Kraig Urbik off of waivers from the Pittsburgh Steelers. To make room for their recent acquisitions, the Bills have parted ways with TE J.P. Foschi and S Dominique Harris.
Martin, 31, was cut by the Miami Dolphins. A 10 year veteran, Martin is an experienced player who has a big body (6’4″ 265 lbs.), and has caught 152 passes in 101 games.
Urbik was Pittsburgh’s 3rd round choice a season ago out of Wisconsin. Urbik is 6’5″ and 323 pounds. He was inactive for Pittsburgh for every game in 2009.
Foschi did not impress in his short time with the Bills, and likely only made the roster due to the lack of other options the Bills had available in camp. Dominique Harris worked hard this summer to originally make the Bills’ squad, but the Bills had 11 defensive backs with him on the roster, and that is more than most teams carry.
