Season Ends Early For Rookies Easley and Batten

And unfortunate ending before even a beginning for Buffalo Bills rookies Marcus Easley and Danny Batten, as both are placed on IR, ending their rookie campaign.

Fourth-round pick Easley landed the wrong way on his knee during the first week of camp, and after seeking a second opinion from doctors, the receiver opted to have surgery to correct his injury.

Batten, a fifth-round pick, was injured on the same day as Easley (August 2nd) suffering a severe shoulder injury that will take some time to heal correctly.

Both rookies were expected to make the 53-man roster, and also were expected to make early contributions to the team.

The Bills now have two vacant roster spots open that will force them to make some moves before their next preseason game.
