WR Nelson Out for Rest of Preseason

In what is becoming a less than shocking development out of Bills’ camp, WR David Nelson has suffered an ankle injury that will keep him out for the rest of the preseason. Nelson had been impressing in camp, and was one of the Bills’ few bright spots in their 42-17 loss to the Redskins, catching 5 passes for 47 yards and a touchdown. The 6’5″ Nelson is a big body who was undrafted out of Florida.

Jairus Byrd was held out of camp on Tuesday with an issue that coach Chan Gailey deemed “physical.” The injury is not supposed to be long term, but never good news to hear that your most impact defensive player from a year ago is once again having physical issues. Let’s hope he gets back as quickly as Gailey implied he would.
