Oh look another injury report for the Buffalo Bills, this one affecting one of their most promising young players.
Sports Radio WGR 550 reports:
“Bills S Jairus Byrd will be out indefinitely and could miss the season opener after having surgery to repair a groin injury. It’s the same injury that cut Byrd’s rookie campaign short. Head Coach Chan Gailey made the announcement in Toronto as the Bills prep for the preseason match-up against the Colts.
“Jairus, they had to do a procedure on Jairus and it looks like he’s going to be out for awhile. It was residual from the off-season stuff. We’re hoping (his return will be) first game but it may be not.”
Byrd’s groin has been bothering him during training camp and it grew worse after practice Monday night.”
I’m glad that Byrd is taking the necessary steps to feel 100% for the season, but my question is if this injury hurt him back in 2009, why not get this procedure done months ago and show up to training camp this year healthy and ready to fly?
