If your like me, you’ve already downloaded the new Madden 2011 Demo. The demo only allows gamers to play as the Jets or Colts, but for the first time, this demo allow gamers to play a full five minute quarter, four quarter game.
Being an avid Madden player since 1994, my first reaction is one of disappointment. The big selling point of Madden 2011 is that the game will now be faster because the “coach” will pick plays for you. I didn’t want to spend the time setting up my own playbook so I let the computer pick the play.
I found myself being a little bored with the action. Part of the fun of playing Madden, especially online, is to learn your opponent tendencies and try to defeat him. Now to save time, you can have designated plays all set up for every situation, rather then react to the game in real time. Not a huge fan of this idea so far, but I’ll save my full opinion for when I buy the whole version, but so far, I’m already missing Madden 2010.
Have you played the demo yet? Would love to hear your thoughts!
