After the long holiday BLD is back in action; I hope it was merry for you and yours. The Bills are back in action today after a tough loss to the Patriots at home last weekend. Buffalo squares off against two teams in the final weeks whose playoff picture, much like the Bills’, have already decided. The Falcons are 7-7 and virtually out of the NFC Wild Card hunt; they trail Dallas at 9-5, the hot Giants at 8-6, and the Packers at 9-5. At 6’3″ and 324 lbs Richie Incognito is anything but what his name might suggest. The 26 year-old offensive lineman joins the Bills after being plucked from waivers; he spent his first five years in the league with the St. Louis Rams. He’s going, going, back, back, to Cali. Former first-round draft pick of the Buffalo Bills, J.P. Losman, is headed back to California — this time to play for the Oakland Raiders. The Venice, CA native quarterback played college ball in Tulane before coming to the Bills in 2004. In 5 seasons with Buffalo, he threw for 33 touchdowns, 34 interceptions, and had a quarterback rating of 75.6. As a starter, his record is 10 wins and 23 losses. Seven times this year, the Buffalo Bills have lost when within one touchdown going into the final quarter of the game. This time, however, they emerged victorious. Clinging to a slim lead through most of the contest, the Bills weren’t able to put away the struggling Chiefs. The Bills (4-8) will be playing for pride this week when they visit Arrowhead Stadium to take on the Kansas City Chiefs (3-9). In many ways, the Chiefs are a team filled with young talent using the remaining games of this season to build for the future.
