Trick or Treat with the NFL

AUTHOR: | IN: Uncategorized | COMMENTS: None Yet

Happy Halloween! Still without a costume? But, like any good NFL fan, you have about twenty random jersey’s strewn about your home? Well worry no more our eleventh-hour couch QB … BLD is here for you. These guys have done all the work for you creating a perfect persona for a Halloween costume, you just have to provide the details. Ray Lewis #52 – LB, Baltimore Ravens If Jason Vorhees from Friday the 13th wore a helmet instead of a hockey mask, it would belong to this guy. He will talk smack to you from across the line and then [...]

T.O. To Give Back Key if Unable to Deliver

AUTHOR: | IN: Uncategorized | COMMENTS: None Yet

Terrell Owens has promised to give back the key to Buffalo if he is unable to deliver on his promise of 10 Touchdowns and a trip to the playoffs. The key ceremony was held shortly after Owens was signed, as the presentation was conducted by Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown. T.O. was quoted as saying: “I’ve got to hold up my end of the bargain. If I don’t get those 10 touchdowns then I have to give the key back. The season’s not over yet, I can still get those 10.” All I can say is, after this year, you probably [...]

Edwards Out Week 8 Against Texans

AUTHOR: | IN: Bills Coaching, Bills Offense, Uncategorized | COMMENTS: None Yet

Bills QB Trent Edwards, who sustained a concussion in Week 6 against the Jets, will not play this week against the Houston Texans. Coach Dick Jauron had the following to say on the subject: Trent is following right along with the protocol for a head injury, but he will not play this week. From what I understand from our doctors that’s the proper protocol. That’s the conservative approach and that’s the approach that we’ll take. Edwards was limited from all physical activities last week, though he will begin to work out this week. Whether those workouts are with the team [...]

Turnovers Carry Bills to Victory over Pathers, 20 – 9

AUTHOR: | IN: Uncategorized | COMMENTS: None Yet

Just like BLD predicted, it was ugly, but it was a win. Any true Bills fan knows that this team, over the past decade, has almost perfected the art of the ugly loss. But, for the past few weeks, we have begun to demonstrate a perspicacity for the ugly win as well. And hell, I’ll take that any day. Working your way down the box score you might have expected the outcome to be reversed and perhaps, by an even higher margin. That is, until, you hit the turnover category. The Bills forced four turnovers while committing none of their [...]

NFL Africa – Prediction Bills at Panthers

AUTHOR: | IN: Uncategorized | COMMENTS: None Yet

Okay, so you’ll have to pretend that the lions depicted in this video are actually panthers … and imagine this water buffalo is an American bison, or “buffalo”. This scene is my take on how this week’s game between the Buffalo Bills and the Carolina Panthers will shape up. Just imagine the game is being played in Africa; no different than Commissioner Roger Goodell’s little NFL London project. Bottom line? It’s not going to be pretty, but I’m predicting a bloody victory. Hell, I’m an optimist.

Fitzpatrick Gets Nod, Edwards Out with Concussion

AUTHOR: | IN: Bills Defense | COMMENTS: None Yet

Ryan Fitzpatrick will get a chance to come into this week’s game against the Panthers with some advance warning. Dick Jauron has sidelined QB Trent Edwards who sustained a concussion against the Jets in last week’s overtime win. Fitzpatrick, who was less than stellar last week, will have to have better accuracy while trying to manage the game. We can also expect Marshawn Lynch and Fred Jackson to feature prominently in the ground attack. On the defensive side of the ball, both Donte Whitner and Bryan Scott, have also been scratched for this week. Whitner, who came back from thumb [...]

Bills Pull One Out, Beat Jets 16 – 13 in OT

AUTHOR: | IN: Uncategorized | COMMENTS: None Yet

It wasn’t pretty … but a win’s a win. The Bills needed overtime and two field goal attempts to win, but you won’t hear too many in Buffalo complaining. Lindell kicked a 47-yard field goal with 2:44 left in overtime, making up for a miss at the end of regulation which would have won the game. Buffalo was able to capitalize on an atrocious outing by rookie QB Marc Sanchez who was 10 of 29 for 119 yards, zero touchdowns, and five interceptions. At one point it actually looked like he would have more completions to guys in white, red [...]

Week 6 Preview: Bills v. Jets

AUTHOR: | IN: AFC East, Bills Coaching, Bills Defense, New York Jets, Previews | COMMENTS: None Yet

The Buffalo Bills (1-4) travel to the Meadowlands today to take on the New York Jets (3-2). The Jets, whose staunch defense bolted out of the gates leading the team to a 3-0 start, have stumbled in recent weeks losing two straight. Rookie QB Mark Sanchez finally cooled down and after throwing 3 interceptions two weeks against the Saints. We will see which team shows up for New York today – the one who led the AFC East after three weeks, or the one that has slipped since. The Bills, on the other hand, have nowhere to go but up. [...]
