Fred Jackson Looks to Run Over Pats Again

“Fast” Fred Jackson ended 2008 with a bang, even though the Bills themselves ended with a bust.

Jackson had his most productive game of the season and of his career, rushing for 136 yards on 27 attempts. Jackson was a great complement to the Bills’ primary back, Marshawn Lynch, and will feature prominently tonight as Lynch serves the first of his three-game suspension. Jackson is in his third-year in the league after graduating from Coe College (it’s okay I’ve never heard of it either) and put up an average of 4.4 yards per carry for a total of 571 yards last year.

Number 22 hopes to break-out this year; with his talent, coupled with Lynch’s suspension, it looks like all the pieces may be falling into place. Of course, the same problem that keeps Lynch from being a premier back in the NFL is the inability of the offensive line to open up consistent holes. Despite that minor (read: MAJOR) issue, Jackson’s shiftiness give him an advantage over the bull in a china shop approach of Beast Mode.

As a tribute to last year’s efforts against the Pats, and in the hopes he can do it again, I’ve compiled this little appetizer. Enjoy.

P.S. Turns out Coe College is in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and their nickname is the Kohawks … who knew.
