You Go T.O. Time For the Media to Shut Up
Terrell Owens feels like he’s being provoked, and you know what? I agree with him. Since the T.O. Show came to Buffalo, the media has been waiting for another meltdown. Everyone is looking for it. It’s starting to feel like one of those stories you hear about where the woman finds Jesus in her pancake batter. Every word T.O. utters and every gesture is being picked apart – scrutinized. The first major media frenzy surrounding Owens came regarding his innocuous comments regarding the no huddle. Networks, bloggers, and talking heads were quick to throw the following comment – regarding the [...]
McKelvin, Whitner, Injured in Bills Loss
The Bills have lost two more players to injury, adding insult to the loss against the Saints. DB Leodis “Deface My Property” McKelvin suffered a broken bone in his leg, and safety Donte “Cry Me A River” Whitner has an injured thumb. McKelvin’s injury is the more serious of the two, reported Jauron, and he is out indefinitely. The injuries only add to the Bills problems as they drag a rag-tag squad to Miami next week in an attempt to keep the Dolphins win-less. The Bills have responded to injuries in defense well with players stepping up for guys like [...]
Failing Hope
We finished week one with a Donte Whitner tear jerker, allowing Tom Brady to provide last minute heroics to win on national television. Week two, the Bills played an inferior Tampa Bay team, much to the satisfaction of the fans won an easy game. Week three, in come the high scoring, league leading, record holding New Orleans Saints. It didn’t sound pretty from the get go. But then you got watching the game, and the defense, well, other than the first drive of the game, kept the Buffalo Bills competitive until a late blow. After the first drive it looked [...]
Bills Fall Apart Late, Lose to Saints 27 – 7
In a game that was closer than the final score intimated, the Buffalo Bills were unable to hold off the New Orleans Saints in the end. The juggernaut that is the Saints offense was held to 10 points through the first three quarters, fewer than any one else in the NFL can claim so far. The Saints started off right where they left off in Week 2 on the opening drive of the game as they marched into Buffalo with a touchdown. Lynell Hamilton’s one yard run put six points on the board following a dominant 10 play 82 yard [...]

NFL Week 3 Picks – BLD Goes Guru
Here we are, Week 3 in the NFL. The good news? The Lions are still in the playoff hunt – mathematically. The bad news? Not for long. Marquee Match-ups: Atlanta v. New England – The possible future QB of the NFL against, arguably, its best of this decade. Ryan and the Falcons will be able to move the ball with Gonzalez and Turner, but they face a Pats team coming off a loss. Something they’re not altogether used to. Look for Brady to have a big week bouncing back from an ugly Week 2. Patriots 31 – Falcons 24. New [...]
The Buffalo Bills will square off this week against one of the most dynamic passing games in the NFL. Drew Brees has led his unbeaten New Orleans Saints to lopsided defeats over the Lions 45-27 (expected) and the Eagles 48-22 (not so expected). The scores of these games have looked more like the first-half of a “March Madness” first round match-up than an NFL game. To say Brees is carving up defenses is an understatement – it’s too dainty. He is eating them alive – Hannibal style. Brees has totaled 669 yards passing and nine touchdowns, completing 75 percent of [...]
Report Card: Week 2, Buccaneers v. Bills
Here is your weekly BLD Report Card for the Buffalo Bills in Week 2 against Tampa Bay: Quarterback: The no-huddle and Trent Edwards seem to be settling in quite nicely. Trent was able to make two big-play passes for touchdowns to Lee Evans and Terrell Owens. He did throw an interception, but it was the result of an errant throw rather than a bad decision. Another good week in my book. The Mark: B+ Running Back: I almost forgot that he isn’t the starting running back. The Bucs certainly wouldn’t know the difference. Rushing for 163 yards including a 43 [...]
