Wheres Maybin?

by Uncategorized

I hated this book growing up as a kid, mainly because my eyesight was never the greatest and my friends always seemed to find that stupid grinning man in the striped shirt before I could.  Yes I am talking about the famed Where’s Waldo books that were the craze of the 1990s.

For Bills Fans eager to see first round draft pick Aaron Maybin against the Houston Oilers Tennessee Titans at the Hall of Fame Game on Sunday, finding him may be a lot like trying to find the skinny but ever present and tough to find cartoon character.

This isn’t entirely the Bills fault either, the early camp prevented draft picks around Maybin from signing with their teams, so Maybin’s agent is holding out to see what the deal above and below Maybin are so his client gets the right contract.

But how long before the Maybin situation turns into the Peters situation?  Maybin has never played in an NFL game before, you would think he would be eager to get into camp and prove his critics wrong.  Could Maybin walking onto the team the last week of camp or first week of the season be detrimental to this team?  What role or effect is Maybin going to have if he is going to be learning his place on a team that have been together for several weeks.  The longer the the struggle goes on, the more Maybin is looking like spoiled veteran as opposed to first round talent, and the last thing the Bills need this year is someone rocking the boat.

Where’s Maybin?
