Tuesday’s Motivational Poster
Since the Bills seemed to be married to the No-Huddle, which this time around means no offense – I seemed it a fitting Motivational Poster topic.
The Buffalo Bills will not play on live television when they play the Detroit Lions in the final preseason game. From the Bills website: The Bills announced that a few thousand tickets remain for the Bills vs. Detroit Lions preseason game to be played Thursday ay 6:30 p.m., at Ralph Wilson Stadium. Per NFL rules, the game was not a sellout 72 hours prior to kickoff and will not be televised locally. The game will air on a tape-delayed basis on the official Buffalo Bills television station, channel 7 in Buffalo, Friday, September 4th at 7:00 p.m. WHAM-TV in Rochester will air the game on [...]
Fred Jackson poised to have a break out season?
The AFC is probably one of the most dominant divisions in football right now, with three teams that could be set to rival for the division crown. With Brady back in the lineup, the title most likely will go to New England, but anything is possible before the first snap on Week 1. Unless given a miracle season, the Bills do not have much of a chance to gain that divisional title – or even a wild card spot. What the Bills might have is a player with a break out season in Fred Jackson. Jackson was a proven rising [...]
Jauron wants to stick with no huddle
The no-huddle in Buffalo once propelled the team to greatness. The current no-huddle has brought about nothingness. Its use by the first team offense has produced no points, and in the last two games, only ten yards per possession. But Jauron doesn’t see the need to abandon it. “There doesn’t have to be a hurry. We don’t snap the ball every time with 20 seconds left on the play clock or 30 seconds. A lot of times we snap it with four or five. We try to vary it and change it up. I’m a believer that’s not the issue. [...]

Buffalo’s Offensive Struggles
“Maybe they should huddle up more.” If the Bills learn anything from their shutout loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers, it might come from the Steelers linebacker James Farrior. No one needs to be reminded that the Buffalo Bills, the dominate team in the AFC of the 1990s, has not made the playoffs, or really been a threat or contender in ten years. The words from the Buffalo locker room after the game are not going to be raising any hopes either. “We’ve got a lot of issues that we’ve got to solve,” coach Dick Jauron said. “We’ve got to solve [...]
Zero
Zero. Its a small word that means nothing – except if your a Bills fan then it means everything. Zero is the number of points the Bills scored against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Zero is the number of touchdowns the first team offense has under Edwards. The last time Edwards threw for a touchdown pass – Week 16 of last season against the Denver Broncos, he had one touchdown. I should note that the Detroit Lions beat the Indianapolis Colts today. I know its only pre season, but the 0-16 Lions have won a pre season game. The Bills have not.
The Bills vs The Steelers
Aaron Maybin gets his professional debut, and Edwards has one last chance. Maybin is getting his first chance to show Bills fans he was worth the wait. Edwards has been unable to find the endzone so far this pre season, a fact that will not go unnoticed if it continues into the season. Given the final game against Detroit will probably played out by Ryan Fitzpatrick and Gibran Hamdan, Edwards has the tough task of trying to prove himself against the defending Super Bowl Champions. With Owens remaining out, and the Fred Jackson scare, I don’t know how hard or [...]
