The Buffalo Bills took a huge step in the right direction with the release of their away throwback jersey to celebrate their 50th Anniversary.  I say it is a step in the right direction because it is at least two more games where we don’t have to see the hideous uniforms they wear now.

I figured now would be a good time to take a look at the helmets of the NFL [...]

A Sacrifice to the Football Gods

AUTHOR: Kyle Giunta | IN: Uncategorized | COMMENTS: None Yet

I have just done the unthinkable.
I told my girlfriend that if the Bills do not go 9-7 this year and make the playoffs that I will root for the Cowboys.
Note: I did not say that I would refuse to pin my hopes on the Bills, just that I would also pull for Dallas. And any Buffalo fan knows just how painful that idea is to even think about.
Double Note: I thought about saying I would root for the Dolphins. It was then I realized that even if I were being tortured by Saddam Hussein’s ghost in Hell, there is no [...]

Favre Retired … No, Really

AUTHOR: Kyle Giunta | IN: Uncategorized | COMMENTS: None Yet

Brett Favre has announced to the Vikings that he – after three months of “intense and often emotional soul-searching” – has decided to remain retired. I’ve finally become so sick of him that I have drafted the following letter. Please feel free to submit your amendments.
Dear Brett,
Thanks for the news! I expected that we would be hearing from you seeing as someone else (*cough* Mike Vick) was in the spotlight for the last twenty-four hours. I know how much you hate that and I’m so happy to have heard from you! It’s really too bad that you’ve decided not to [...]

Edwards’ Summer Routine

AUTHOR: Kyle Giunta | IN: Uncategorized | COMMENTS: None Yet

We’ve all seen those ridiculous commercials featuring Brady Quinn for EAS.
“Now I’m Done.”
God … I wish. Can someone please go Javon Kearse on his ass?
Well, it looks like Trent has decided to do it the old-fashioned way … like spider-man.
Left battered and bruised after his “welcome to the NFL, kid” inaugural season and still hurting despite adding 12 lbs of lean muscle before last season, Trent looked this off-season for a new approach. After consulting the league’s passing leader – Drew Brees – Edwards was told to try a system developed by a former Navy SEAL called TRX. This suspension [...]

Where is Vick welcome?

Rumors swirled around the speed at which Terrell Owens signed with Buffalo – that we were the only team he had a chance at signing with on a path to rehabilitating his character references in the hopes of landing a deal where he could end his career on a higher note – with one last longer term deal.
All of that was supposedly started with Bills starting quarterback Trent Edwards sending a text message to COO [...]

Owens weighs in on Vick situation

AUTHOR: Tim Redinger | IN: Uncategorized | COMMENTS: 1 Comment

If it were up to Terrell Owens, Michael Vick would recieve a full reinstatement into the league, because he has paid his debt to society.  Faire enough, but what about his violation of league policies?
Vick’s resulting suspension would not be based on the actual crimes he committed, but his violation of league policies he is bound to abide by as a player in the league.
While its probably not necessary to suspend Vick for life from the NFL, there probably should be more of a suspension coming from the office of Roger Goodell.
Its still up in the air, but I don’t doubt [...]

The Bills have a jump start on the rest of the league as they started camp this weekend, with the first two practices in the books.
As of those two practices, the top four draft picks remain unsigned.  COO Russ Brandon says he will continue to work within the framework the team set up to sign those four picks, but there is not a lot of comparison available, as other teams have yet to sign there [...]

Are the Bills headed for Losman 2.0?

AUTHOR: Tim Redinger | IN: Uncategorized | COMMENTS: 1 Comment

JP Losman had five years to prove himself as a quarterback in the NFL for the Buffalo Bills.  As he was heading into the fourth year of that deal, the Bills selected Trent Edwards in the draft.  Losman never panned out, and now finds himself as the marquee player for a six team fledgling league (You really have to feel sorry for the UFL).
Trent Edwards is heading into the third year of his four year deal, and so far has not been able to prove himself either.  In his first year as top signal caller for the Bills, he started [...]
