Marshawn Lynch was suspended for three games, one game less than I had originally anticipated, probably based on the fact that this is the first time he was actually pinned with the crime.
Lynch, not wanting to lose a sixth of his salary, will appeal the decision to Roger Goodell, hoping it will lessen the time spent off the field. While the Bills have released a statement to the fact that they will abide by the leagues decision, getting the star running back in the lineup sooner would definitely be a help.
Lynch is hoping that Goodell treats him like Denver WR Marshall, who saw his suspension shrunk to one game before the start of last season, working against Lynch however, was the fact that Marshall was arrested again – and will likely face a much stricter punishment from the league this time around. Goodell may not want to lessen the punishment against Lynch, in the hopes that sitting three games will teach the young player a little about personal conduct.
