If you ask him directly, he will tell you he likes what he sees; that he can provide the extra boost for the team to make the playoffs and that he will be a good fit here. But T.O. and Buffalo are about as good a fit as a round peg and a square whole.
T.O. is national spotlight, Buffalo is Buffalo Wings and small market dissappointment.
But they could be a good fit for each other on a one year deal; according to Ross Tucker, SI.com:
But Buffalo? T.O. will bring his big-city ways to a decidedly mid-major environment and mentality. Glitz is out. Wings are in. Good-bye Vodka Martini. Hello Labatt Blue. It will be an adjustment, to be sure. I am sure T.O takes consolation in the fact that it is likely only a nine-month stop on his path back to being a major player on the NFL landscape. The funny thing is that, from the Bills’ perspective, they might be just fine with that.
This could be a relationship of opposites that works well with both sides. This morning on ESPN’s All Night Radio with Jason Smith, WGR 550’s Joe Buscaglia said that T.O. is not going to be able to get inside the head of young quarterback Trent Edwards.
I have to disagree there. Trent Edwards was mentally shaken after the hard hit in Arizona, and wasn’t the same all year. If T.O. wants to, T.O. will take the huddle from Edwards, and will get in the quarterbacks head.
