Reports out of Miami are that Coles is no longer an interest, and they plan on looking elsewhere for a number one wide reciever to complement Ted Ginn Jr.
From The Daily Dolphin:
Money is almost undoubtedly an issue. Coles gave up the final year of his contract with the Jets, amounting to $6 million, to become a free agent, and there’s no doubt he’d like to recoup a large percentage of that amount with his next team.
Buffalo seems to be a better fit for Coles, where he would complement a true No. 1 guy in Lee Evans. Coles visited Buffalo Friday but there has been no more talk of visits since then. Calls to his agent, Roosevelt Barnes, on Sunday went to voice mail and were not returned.
If the Bills are serious about contending next year, this might be an interesting addition to the roster, and with some trimming of the roster lately it appears that they may be able to swing a deal with Coles.
