Greer stays optimistic about chances of remaining a Bill

by Uncategorized

The Bills signed him undrafted.  He worked to obtain and keep  his status as a starter.  He is now set to make money on the open market, when he becomes a free agent.  But where will Jabari Greer be playing next year?

If  you ask Greer, be wants to stay in Buffalo.  However, if you listened to Bills Fan Radio on Monday night you would have learned that sources close to the situation have said their has been no communication from the Bills about wanting to resign the energetic corner back.

Greer may have priced himself out of Buffalo – he would like a long term contract, and it may come at a cost.  Would Greer give the Bills a hometown discount?

“I’m just waiting for Buffalo to approach me with an offer, and once they do I’ll consider it and go from there,” Greer said. “I want to see what they’re looking for for their future of the franchise.

“I know my worth in a sense. If it comes down to being in the market, that’s the business of the game. But I don’t think I value my worth by what another team is willing to offer. I know what type of player I am and what I bring to the field.”

It sounds to me is all Buffalo has to do is make the right offer to this guy and he would gladly stay in place, which might be the end of the line for McGee in Buffalo.  Terrence McGee is two years older than Greer, and while he is a Pro Bowl Returner, Leodis McKelvin has proven his worth at that position, and cornerback Reggie Corner shows promise.  By signing Greer, McGee may be the old odd man out.

Greer quotes were taken from an article written by Tim Graham of ESPN Sports.  The full article can be found at: http://myespn.go.com/blogs/afceast/0-4-810/Greer-rosy-on-possible-return-to-Buffalo.html
