Again I find myself at Friday night, not being able to get excited about Buffalo Football Sunday. Maybe it’s because the Sabres just got a huge victory, maybe its because the Bills can’t get any victory.
While Edwards is still listed as questionable, he is still expected to play on Sunday, if he doesn’t, then Gibran Hamdan will step in. Losman will probably be relegated to making hot chocolate, or warming up the go cart the team uses on the sidelines. I don’t think the Bills want him anywhere near the field, or the playbook after last weeks major debacle that cost them the game.
An impressive outing by the Bills offense this Sunday won’t mean much, Denver is ranked 29 in overall defense. What it would give either Buffalo QB is confidence in their game, something Edwards has needed since Arizona, something Hamdan just needs.
Given all of that, I still think Buffalo comes up short in Denver. I think the Bills, aside from playing some really poor football had some key injuries that continue to keep them down. I think it is going to come down to a close game again, just like last years contest did, with the Broncos going 21-17 over the Bills.
